Versatility and style are the name of the game for G3’s Sun Catcher LX 22 Cruise XS pontoon. Full of family-friendly features and offering quality fit-and-finish that keeps everyone relaxing in comfort, the “LX” in this boat’s name undoubtedly stands for luxury.

Its wide body design provides a spacious interior with room for 12, so there’s space for everyone and everything has its place. An optional couch insert creates a wrap-around lounge forward that’s perfect for extra seating when you’re entertaining a crowd. Underneath this expansive furniture grouping you’ll find plenty of storage compartments where your gear will stay dry thanks to the rain drain channel under the cushions.

While anchored out in your favourite bay, stretch out on the comfortable forward-facing lounges with a good book or gather around the aft table with built-in cup holders for a quick bite.

The LX 22’s helm console features a custom wheel with tilt steering and a full complement of fog-resistant Faria gauges. There’s also a Sony AM/FM CD Stereo with iPod/MP3 jack, a flush-mount Garmin fish finder, and Yamaha deluxe binnacle controls, cables and key switch. And so the captain is not outdone, the helm seat boasts fold-down armrests, and reclines, swivels and slides for the perfect fit.

Aft, the double-wide Sun Catcher tanning deck is the perfect place to catch some rays. When you’re done, a pop-up enclosure offers a private area to change into dry clothes and is also a great spot for a portable toilet.

A rear-entry gate to starboard lifts up to eliminate rattling while underway. This leads to the transom where a four-step boarding ladder provides easy access to the water.

With two logs, the LX 22 is rated for up to 115 horsepower. This is boosted to 225 horsepower if you opt for the triple log performance upgrade package, which also includes such features as a removable ski tow bar and an in-floor storage compartment. Whether you have a pair or a trio, G3’s unique U-shaped logs are foam-filled instead of hollow for added safety and a quieter ride.

However you choose to play on the water, the G3 Sun Catcher LX 22 Cruise XS will ensure you’re equipped for the game with a pontoon combining amenities, style and comfort.
