A perfect crossover model for those looking to make a switch to jet drive

For some, making the switch to a jet boat can be a big step because when they think jet boat they think aggressive styling and even more aggressive performance. But that’s not necessarily true. Combining a more conventional boat with jet drive performance, the 2002 Utopia 205 is a perfect crossover model for those looking to make a switch to jet drive.

With its more traditional almost boxy lines, the Utopia was Sea-Doo’s foray into the regular boat world. Gone were the sleek, low profiles of the speedsters, replaced with high gunwales and an almost conservative look – all in an effort to attract the traditionalist looking for untraditional power and handling. 

But that’s not the only detail on the Utopia 205 to comfort the traditionalists. The curved, walk-thru windshield leads up to a bow that’s just like any other bowrider, with a great layout and even better storage. In fact, the entire interior leaves no hint this is a jet boat. The dual captain’s chairs are comfy and subtle, and the dash is very understated.
