1974 Donzi GT 21
The legacy continues

Car collectors are interesting people. More often than not, they pick on brand, maybe one they had as a teenager, and stick with it. Boat owners share that same passion and brand loyalty. In this used profile, we're going to look at a great addition to any collector's boat house - a 1974 Donzi GT 21.
One thing that sort of bugs me about “classic” boats is that most people automatically think of woodies when it comes to classic boats. But there is a whole world of fibreglass boats out there, each with their own little story. They may be a little tougher to find, but are usually very much worth the search.
To understand the 21 GT, we have to take a quick history lesson. Race boat driver Don Aronow helped create the legendary brands of Formula, Cigarette, Magnum and one other that beared his nickname, Donzi, in 1964. The next year he sold Donzi to Teleflex, which at the time had two executives on staff – two brothers by the name of John and Tim Chisholm.
