November 21, 2017 – Kelowna, BC Campion Marine Inc. has been named winner of the Environmental Initiatives at the METS Trade 2017 Boat Builder Awards. This category is for Boat Builders who have implemented and contributed to environmental sustainability.

We are proud to be the first boat manufacturer in the World, dating way back to 2008, to use Ashland’s Enviro Responsible Resin, a renewably sourced bio-derived resin from Ashland Performance Materials.

Brock Elliott, President of Campion reports: “We were most honoured and humbled when Ashland approached Campion with a request to build a test boat utilizing their bio-resin. We built two test boats and ran them hard on Lake Okanagan, often referred to as our 100-mile test tank. The results of this experiment and much testing over 2008 to 2009 lead to Campion think GREEN! And ultimately to practice green in our boat building processes.”

The Green journey that Campion has been on for almost 10 years, to continually work with our suppliers to source new and innovative Green Products, has been very beneficial to Campion and our proud boat owners, World Wide.

The dedication and commitment of our employees to continually search out Greener best practices in the build processes has also been very rewarding.
At Campion we believe striving every day to build our boats with as much Green technology and know-how is the right thing to do.
