Taking a PWC Road Trip

How often while on the road for business or pleasure have you passed a lake, river or ocean shoreline you haven’t yet explored and wished you had your watercraft with you?

For many years, driving to Canada’s East Coast for holidays and family visits, I’ve looked longingly at the lower St. Lawrence River, upper Saint John River and waters around Prince Edward Island. Last summer, we headed east with a watercraft in tow.

Being able to stop and launch the watercraft for a couple of hours took all the tedium out of a 2,000-kilometre road trip. And, because we had our PWC, we also built more boating around our time at an ocean-front cottage. Before you follow suit, here are some lessons learned along the way.
