Recipe: Bacon Breadsticks

Impromptu gatherings are a mainstay of life at the dock and on the hook, so having some ingredients on hand for quick and easy appetizers is always a great idea.
You can get as fancy as you like, but simple is never out of style. And presentation can go a long way in making a whipped-up dish look like something you’d get as the first course in a high-class restaurant.
Ingredients
Bacon
Garlic powder
Parmesan cheese
Breadsticks
Method
- Slice bacon in half, lengthwise.
- Sprinkle top side of bacon with Parmesan and garlic (to taste).
- Wrap bacon diagonally around breadstick, seasoned side in.
- Place on baking rack in shallow baking tray (to catch grease).
- Bake at 425°F until bacon is cooked; about 15 minutes.
- If desired, sprinkle hot breadsticks with some more Parmesan.
- Let cool a bit before serving.
