The Boating Ontario Marine Technician Pre-Apprenticeship program may be for you!
It’s not a job, it’s a lifestyle! The recreational boating industry offers excellent opportunities to build a strong career in a great and fun work environment.
This FREE 35-week program offers academic upgrading in apprenticeship math, communications, shop skills and the in-school requirement for Level One Marine Engine Technicians. Students that successfully complete the academic portion of the program are required to complete a 12-week paid placement.
- Submit Application — This form is available from Boating Ontario Association, Georgian College Midland Campus or electronically. When submitting, please attach a current resume.
- Attend an Assessment Session — If selected, you will need to attend a session to assess levels in English, math and mechanical aptitude.
- Attend a Personal Interview — All candidates will be asked to attend a personal interview. Ensure you have the following: resume, valid drivers licence and letters of recommendation (would be considered an asset).
