There’s a reason why boaters are cautioned to stay away from dams. A lucky group of fishermen learned that the hard way when their boat anchor got stuck and sent them on a crash course with a dam on the Grand River in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The incident was all caught on camera.
It appears the group’s anchor became lodged on a log, sucking their boat into the spillway of the dam. The power of the water wreaked havoc on the trio, flipping the boat several times and forcing the boaters out into the water. The group managed to swim away from the dam where they were picked up by another boat and returned safely to shore without injury.
