Joel Wynans was out fishing with his wife, Kathryn, when he felt something at the end of his line, but before he could reel it in, it was gone. Except the fish didn’t get away – it was stolen in broad daylight!
Kathryn was attempting to capture a photo of her husband’s catch, and instead, got a video of the perpetrator. From across the tree line, with perfect timing, a bald eagle swooped down and stole the fish right off Joel’s line.
The couple fish Maple Lake in BC’s Comox Valley often, but have never seen this type of competition!
