The world’s first hydrogen-fueled concept super yacht called the AQUA — with an ultra-futuristic design — was unveiled by Yacht Architecture and Design studio Sinot at the Monaco Yacht Show in September of 2019.
Rumours recently swirled in the media regarding a purchase of AQUA, by American Business Magnate, Bill Gates. Although the purchase was vehemently denied by the Netherlands based Sinot, the AQUA remains a mesmerizing super yacht concept.
As the name of the super yacht conveys, AQUA was designed to provide passengers the closest possible proximity to the water. According to AQUA’s brochure:
The flowing exterior lines of AQUA are inspired by ocean swells — the surge of energy induced by winds and currents, boosted by the gravitational forces that control the ocean’s tides.
Sounds great, but what about the price tag? With an estimated cost of $645million and 370ft in length, AQUA has the space and budget for many flamboyant features.
